African Chocolate Company is pioneer bean to bar chocolate business in Uganda defined by creativity and luxury.
This venture uses resources grown within the country to create delicious treats, chocolate Uganda, pearl chocolate, Nile Chocolate and 62 in honor of Uganda’s Independence Day spirit and we challenge the status quo that premium chocolate can only be made in Europe.
At African Chocolate Company we take dried cocoa beans from the biggest single owned cocoa plantation in Africa measuring approximately 640 acres located in Buikwe district and as well as from many different farmer groups in the region.
African Chocolate Company Ltd first under Pink foods was registered in 2011 and has an Investment license under Uganda Investment Authority and is a member of Uganda Manufacturers Association.
We began with several years of research and product development chocolate from a home kitchen to the present-day state of the art new chocolate facility in Kyanja.
Our primary focus is value addition to our cocoa we grow in our cocoa plantation in Nkokonjeru in Buikwe about 60km from Kampala and development of high yield cocoa seedlings. As primary processors of cocoa, the company receives well fermented and dried cocoa beans from our famer network which is approximately 1000 small holder farmers. We focus on locally manufacturing beans to bar premium dark, milk chocolate, drinking chocolate and cocoa butter.
